West Saugerties Buddhist grade school going well so far
Along with reading, writin’ and ’rithmatic, 17 students have been learning the dharma, or “cosmic order” at the Middle Way School, which opened in West Saugerties in September.

Voters in the 102nd district will see a rematch of the April 24 special election, when Tague, a Republican from Scoharie, defeated O’Connor, a Greene County legislator.
Christopher Kraft takes on William Myers for Saugerties town justice
In the second-to-last column on the Nov. 6 ballot, voters will have the choice of two local lawyers to be town justice. While Christopher Kraft has secured endorsements from the Democratic, Working Families and Independence parties, counting more than his adversary, Republican William Myers. Myers has held the position as an interim for eight months since Daniel Lamb died in February.
