Rupco & Mary Stuart Masterson’s Stockade Works would like to transform the cavernous former MetLife building on Greenkill Avenue in Kingston into a TV/film production studio and training center.
For the last 60 years, August Fellows, known as Auggie to everyone in Saugerties, has served the village as a member of the C.A. Lynch Hose Company. “It’s been a long time,” says the 79-year-old.
“It is kind of ridiculous that these people must give up two weeks of their lives to get the money schools are entitled to,” said Saugerties school board vice-president Jim Mooney.
“We’ve cut every non-essential service that there is.”
