Unlike the last several years when the Sawyers had a number of tall players who could dominate under the basket, this year’s team is a bit shorter, but much faster.
If the supply of water available for New York City continues to slowly dwindle, as it has been doing in recent months, the gap between the existing levels and the normal levels of water in the reservoirs becomes more palpable — and the people in charge of them get a little more anxious.

This year’s Sawyer Motors Foundation fundraiser benefited the Raise Your Awareness About Narcotics (R.Y.A.N) program and the Saugerties choir program. The event featured America’s Got Talent winner Landau Murphy Jr. and local comedian and Saugerties High School graduate Mike Speirs.
The goal is to place the libraries in neighborhoods that have the least access to the Washington Ave. library.
A lifelong Saugerties resident, Serena Rafferty works at Tischler and Patch Dental as well as Pine Street Dental.
