Turner, who for more than 20 years has worn two hats as the deputy town clerk and the clerk for the Building Department, will relinquish the former position and retain the latter, according to town supervisor Marybeth Majestic.
The town of Rosendale has a new councilman, appointed in December 2016 by his colleagues to replace Stacy Lipari, who resigned from her elected position in November.

The change would allow voters to make several choices in order of preference. If no candidate received a majority of votes, the lowest vote-getter is removed and the total is tallied again with second choices taken into consideration.
The new structure will be significantly wider, with no overhead superstructure and a new sidewalk, affording motorists and pedestrians alike a clearer view of the scenic falls.
