The New Paltz Central School District recently held a community forum for parents, students and community members to offer their input about the ongoing initiative to establish racial equity in the schools.

The Highland Central School District Board of Education has appointed current Highland High School assistant principal, William Zimmer, as the school’s new principal. He will assume his new position on December 4.

The play will run from Nov. 16-18.

SUNY New Paltz welcomed SUNY Chancellor Kristina M. The district is considering pushing back the first bell, citing studies showing teens need more sleep.

New Paltz Middle School is closed for the remainder of the day, Monday, October 16, due to a minor electrical fire in the cafeteria prior to the arrival of students. Rerouted buses took students directly to the high school auditorium, from where they were transported home again at 10 a.m. after parents were notified.
