Historic Huguenot Street has announced the revival of Stone House Day, a formerly annual tradition, which will be hosted in partnership with the Town of New Paltz on Saturday, September 8.
The Marbletown First Aid Unit was founded in 1961 by Harriet Weber, who was shocked when a hearse was the only vehicle available to transport her mother to the hospital. Today, the unit, which has a wide and sparsely populated area to cover, is facing a membership shortage.
Events include a lecture on the library’s founding, a storytelling event with songs and crafts, a session for parents on how to encourage their children to become readers and writers, a library-themed film at the Rosendale Theatre, and more.
The change is meant to head off future budget shortfalls.
