Something to chew on

The all-day conference on migration and mental health at SUNY New Paltz this Friday, October 11, is coming at an opportune time. Though American history records several eras when conflict raged over immigrants and immigration, there have been few more virulent than what’s going on now.

Opiate addiction can strike anyone, says speaker

Tony Hoffman’s message is a simple one: opioid addiction is not about moral failing or mental weakness, but something which can strike anyone. “Once you go through that door, you can’t go back out again,” and it’s after a substance is tried that the user learns if they have the propensity for addiction.

It’s a great feeling, of a physical sort that you don’t get from publishing an article. Paltzonians, we built this together: Give yourselves a little pat on the back. And then go out and make more cool stuff to share.
