Police say they are still seeking a motive in the killing of a homeless man who was found stabbed to death in a wooded area off of the Thruway Exit 19 traffic circle on Sunday. The body of Guy D. Andradez, 58, was discovered around 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11 beneath a tarp near a tent where, witnesses say, he had been living since June.
Two recent rockslides on Main Street in East Kingston are being monitored by Ulster town officials, Callanan Industries and state authorities. According to town officials, the pair of rockslides appear to have been caused by the collapse of an historic cement mine opening created in the late 1800s, and were not related to blasting, which was not happening when the slides occurred. Callanan suspended all blasting on Aug. 12 to ensure the safety and stability of the slopes overlooking Main Street.

Kingston Police responded to a reported bank robbery at around 10 a.m. this morning at Rondout Savings Bank. Bank employees told police the suspect was still standing outside the bank in the parking lot.
A Kingston man has been charged with the murder of a homeless man whose body was found in the woods near the traffic circle.
