It’s not everyone’s way, not everyone’s choice. And I resist offering advice now, more than ever. What might be a throwaway conversation to me could be a real curveball to you. My goal is simply to See You and to Hear You before sharing myself.
Liver mets. I am not shocked by this new development; it’s what Stage IV breast cancer does: It eventually spreads to lungs, liver and/or brain.
Tuesday, August 22-Sunday, August 27: It’s the second-largest county fair in the state, and this year’s entertainment includes 3 Doors Down, the Brothers Osborne, the Marshall Tucker Band and the Old Crow Medicine Show.

This Saturday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m. at West Point’s Trophy Point, treat the family to “Music under the Stars: Kids’ Night at West Point!” In addition to spectacular views, children get to touch and try out new sounds in the “instrument petting zoo” before the show, at 6 p.m.
Saturday, June 24: Live musical entertainment precedes the movie. Bring your own blankets and chairs. The feature film starts rolling at sundown (approximately 8:30 p.m.).
Make scrimshaw out of soap at the Maritime Museum, ceramics at the Dorsky and hamantaschen at a Purim Carnival.
Storytellers for Hope: St. Baldrick’s and Relay for Life Fundraiser this Sunday, February 19 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at Twin Lakes Lodge. Bring the kids to this one for 15-minute family photo sessions for only $15, fresh baked goods, hot food, music, raffles, free face-painting; and at 3 p.m., a Cup, Corks & Canvas session begins, the proceeds of which benefit Relay for Life. No appointment is necessary for the photos; just show up, and a cash bar is open all day.
