A man climbing in the popular West Trapps area of the Mohonk Preserve in Gardiner fell to his death on Sunday, August 19.

The 50-year-old driver was wanted on several warrants.

A Woodstock man received a $1 million check this morning at the Kingston Stewart’s Shoppe where he bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket during a unplanned stop for soda. 

The City of Kingston Police Department is attempting to locate Brittni Jo Sweeney, 23. She was last seen yesterday and is believed to be in the Kingston area. (Update: Sweeney has been located.)

The jump happened Saturday, August 3. The body was discovered two days later.

Saugerties Police revived a 25-year-old man who overdosed this morning using Narcan, which halts the effects of an opiate overdose.

The driver of a flatbed truck failed to negotiate a curve on Rt. 212 late this morning, crashing into some nearby woods. No other vehicles were involved, but the driver is being treated for injuries.

Egypt K. Holmes, who lives on Cornell St., was last seen yesterday afternoon at around 1 p.m. after a dispute with family members. According to police, Holmes has friends in/ties to Schenectady and Poughkeepsie and may be in one of those cities.

The crash occurred when a car crossed State Route 145 directly into the path of a motorcyclist.
