The bridge over the state Thruway on Sawkill Road opened noon Wednesday, bringing to an end a months-long hassle.
Assistance from the federal government and Central Hudson is available. Eligibility is based on family income and size.
The map, entitled “Dreaming Green,” highlights many of the county’s environmental achievements.

Spurred in part by anguish over the results of last week’s presidential election and partly by the appearance of racist graffiti on campus, hundreds of SUNY New Paltz students walked out of their classes at noontime last Friday for an energetic demonstration against the policies of Donald Trump.
The Saugerties police converted a used ambulance from the Hurley First Aid Squad into a vehicle for its Special Investigations Unit using a $10,000 state grant. “This is the type of vehicle we could have used when we investigated the murders earlier this year,” says police chief Joseph Sinagra.
“The Midtown arts district is really taking off…We want to be in a position to capitalize on that.”
“These are the only two houses in the village that pay village taxes and don’t have village services. This just doesn’t make any sense.”
