62-seat theatre proposed for Main St. New Paltz

New Paltz village residents could find a professional black box theater in their midst, if they show enough support for the idea. Harry Lipstein, owner of Water Street Market, will be proposing just such a venue for the property at 12 Main Street; it’s on the April 18 agenda of the village planning board, according to Mayor Tim Rogers.

Ulster County expects to receive bids for repair of three washouts along the county-owned railroad tracks in the Boiceville area. Meanwhile, Rail Explorers, the rail bike company that has contracted to run tours along the Phoenicia-to-Boiceville tracks this summer, is considering alternate routes in response to concerns from residents along Cold Brook Road, originally intended as the last leg of the tours.
