Director Debra Granik to screen Leave No Trace at Upstate in Woodstock

Saturday, June 23: Granik is best-known as the director and co-writer of Winter’s Bone, Jennifer Lawrence’s breakout film, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. In Leave No Trace, Thomasin McKenzie plays Tom, a teenager whose war vet father, Will (Ben Foster), is so rattled by post-traumatic stress that the only way he can cope is to live off the grid.

Water Street Market has been showing free outdoor movies in its courtyard every summer Monday night for a decade now. The season is up and running already, with the last film slated for Monday, August 27. And this year, the third Saturday of each month will also bring an opportunity to view a free movie under the stars in New Paltz, at the Field of Dreams park pavilion, where the first of three Saturday night movie screenings this summer will be Saturday, June 16.
