Saturday, June 2: The program features six chamber and solo works by this Grammy-winning composer, conductor and performer, including a preview of her new work.
Sunday, May 27: Linda Mary Montano: 14 Years of Living Art, a new “220-page portable book/archive” charts the Saugerties’ native’s influential endurance performance art from 1984 to 1998 via the groundbreaking feminist artist’s journal writings, tantric tales, essays and interviews, instructions and “Art/Life instructions.”
Saturday, May 26: Springfest this year will conceptually revolve around Ron English’s Rabbbits in Delusionville rock opera and artwork. Saturday-Monday, May 26-28: The ukulele – once the pop-culture musical quarry of Don Ho and Tiny Tim, pretty much exclusively – has enjoyed a run of popularity in recent years that has reached the status of a genuine renaissance.
Sunday, May 27: This year’s concert is hosted by Happy Traum and will feature a fine contingent of celebrants including Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams; John Sebastian; Cindy Cashdollar; Scott Sherrard; Mike + Ruthy; Bill Sims; Rod MacDonald and Jay Collins. Backing them up is the always stellar house band featuring Connor Kennedy, Will Bryant, Lee Falco and Brandon Morrison.
Friday, June 8: Whatever you can say about Roger, the cat has always brought it. He loves theater, spectacle and acting, and he has been an ardent defender of the Who’s legacy in a way that Mr. Townshend, perhaps, has not. Tommy is important music.
July 22: The music continues to be the rarest example of an achievement equally revered by the general public and by the avant-garde.
