It was a good choice, as she ended up getting the top prize, making her Ulster County’s first and New York’s ninth million-dollar-plus lottery winner this year.

“Dan was just part of the fabric of what Saugerties is,” said Town Supervisor Fred Costello. “He used his position as a judge and attorney to help many families, many times in their darkest times of need, and it’s been very uplifting to hear how he touched so many members of our community. It’s unfortunate that we’re losing him so soon.”
BC’s New Paltz Climbing Gym, the former Inner Wall, will continue to offer the afterschool activities and birthday parties for youth that the gym has always hosted, but the new owner plans to focus more on the local climbing community.
