DEC plans sessions on cleanup of former explosives manufacturer in Ulster Park
The state Department of Environmental Conservation will next Thursday, June 27 hold its first of two dates of public information and feedback sessions of the coming cleanup of the old Dyno Nobel/Hercules Powder Co. site in Ulster Park, where explosives were manufactured for almost 100 years before shutting down in 2010.

Musical version of The Secret Garden opens in Rhinebeck
June 21-July 14: This is a story that has resonated for decades with youngsters and grownups alike. Lucy Simon (Carly’s sister) set it to music, with a book by Marsha Norman, Pulitzer Prizewinner for ‘night, Mother. The original 1991 Broadway production of The Secret Garden won three Tony Awards and four Drama Desk Awards.
