It was quite a surprise for Cindy Cashdollar when, during the June 30 show at Levon Helm Studios, where the splendid slide and steel guitar player was performing with Asleep at the Wheel, Woodstock Town Supervisor Bill McKenna and Rennie Cantine appeared on the stage and presented her with the Key To The City.

The conviction arose from an incident which took place in July of 2018 at the Northeast Center For Special Care in Lake Katrine when the man, who was employed as a janitor, attempted to subject another person to sexual contact when such other person was incapable of consent by reason of being physically helpless.

Saturday, July 13: Beloved won her the Pulitzer Prize and the American Book Award, and her body of work was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. In addition to being a writer for the ages, Morrison helped plenty of other black writers get published and taken seriously by critics during her 15 years at Random House, where she was the first black woman senior editor in the fiction department.
