This morning at 9:31 a.m., Saugerties Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on John Joy Rd. Police said a 2009 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck with a trailer attached driven by a 65-year-old Saugerties man was traveling south when the truck veered across the northbound lane onto the shoulder, striking a tree before going over and down the embankment.
Assemblyman Pete Lopez (R-Schoharie), whose 102nd Assembly district stretches from just outside Albany to Saugerties, was named administrator of Region 2 of the Environmental Protection Agency today.
