New Paltz Middle School hosted a public forum Thursday, Jan. 30 to provide up-to-date information on the progress of the $52.9 million capital project ongoing in the school district and its possible impacts on the schools and community in general.

The annual WinterFest celebration returned to Highland last Saturday, January 14, offering family-friendly reasons to get out and brave the cold. “Hudson Valley Writers Resist: Louder Together for Free Expression” will bring a collective of writers and musicians to the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock on Sunday, January 15 – the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., a few days before the inauguration – to celebrate the power of words, compassion, equal rights, free speech, social justice and environmental issues.
