Visitors to Ireland are often impressed by the legendary Irish hospitality. Not everyone is so inspired by it they come home and create their own bed-and-breakfast, but for Alana Colucci, proprietor of the newly opened Watergrasshill Bed & Breakfast on Phillies Bridge Road in New Paltz, that’s exactly what happened.
The 3,500-square-foot visitor center and plaza includes a single-story building housing bathrooms for visitors and office space for New York State Parks staff.

Water Street Market has been showing free outdoor movies in its courtyard every summer Monday night for a decade now. The season is up and running already, with the last film slated for Monday, August 27. And this year, the third Saturday of each month will also bring an opportunity to view a free movie under the stars in New Paltz, at the Field of Dreams park pavilion, where the first of three Saturday night movie screenings this summer will be Saturday, June 16.
