Opening Saturday, December 8: The show includes 90 antique irons. Their flat bottoms have been collaged with pages from More’s book, variously scorched, cut, woven and layered with textiles, thread, lace, fur, tacks and sandpaper. “It’s very inspiring to see how dedicated these women were in their convictions. They had very strong voices, despite all the obstacles of their times.”

Friday, Nov. 16: According to the artist, who also practices psychiatry and teaches mediation, “Psychologically, the shadow worlds are viewed as a projection of denied aspects of the ‘self’ onto an ‘other’… I view these photographs as narrative, our place in this world.”
On Tuesday night, Oct. 30, a panel of three experts and activists on immigration issues sponsored by Ulster Immigration Defense Network, Nobody Leaves Mid-Hudson, and La Voz radio show and magazine spoke about how policies at the federal, state and county level are impacting immigrants and what’s at stake in the upcoming election.
Tuesday-Saturday through October 28: “If you can draw the figure, you can draw anything,” Fox said. “There’s an analogy with music: If you practice scales as a musician, after a while it’s playing you.”
Opening reception on Saturday, October 13: This exhibition about female identity is an embarrassment of riches. Artworks by 26 artists – all women – represent a range of materials and approaches. “People are doing really significant work, and we could have filled a museum.”
