The show drew thousands of spectators, 600 to 700 cars, and raised $40,000 for local charities and individuals in need.
‘People push that darned button, and they were walking in front of cars, and I didn’t see one patrolman during the 45 minutes that I was inside [ a local restaurant],” said trustee Terry Parisian. “I saw a dad, with a stroller, push his kid right in front of a car. Clearly, it was red, all the way around.”
Nearby homeowners are notified before trapping begins so they can keep their cats close by. If a pet is trapped, the owners are contacted.
Three Saugerties youths were honored at the village board meeting this Monday, June 3.
