As a result of the ongoing issue with the City of Kingston’s water supply, which the Town of Ulster has been attempting to ameliorate by pumping water into the city system (it usually takes water from it) a state of emergency was declared Friday afternoon by Town Supervisor James Quigley III.
Residents of the following water districts are “strongly urged” to conserve water: Bright Acres, Cherry Hill, East Kingston, Glenerie, Spring Lake and Ulster. The emergency will remain in effect until Monday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m.
