Getting out in support of their much-anticipated new release Free Yourself Up (due on May 4), the popular American outfit Lake Street Dive appears at the Ulster Performing Arts Center (UPAC) on Sunday, May 6 at 7 p.m. The record is influenced by late-’60s/early-’70s R & B, AM pop and FM rock, but with lyrics informed more by contemporary events. Advance press describes the self-produced Free Yourself Up as the New England band’s most confident and ambitious album to date.
