Yesterday morning a body was discovered beneath a bridge over a railroad. Before the day was over, Kingston Police had booked an Ulster Park man on murder charges.
Police arrested Seth P. Lyons, 20, of Ulster Park, and charged him with murder in the second degree. Police said the victim, Anthony Garro Jr., 49, of Kingston, who was discovered under the Elmendorf St. bridge over the railroad tracks, appeared to have been assaulted. An autopsy was scheduled for today.
Lyons was processed and held for arraignment.
The Kingston Police Department was assisted by the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, and the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Investigation Unit.
