Saugerties man, 22, charged with rape of minor

On November 9, the New York State Police at Catskill arrested Justin J. Ross, 22, of Saugerties. He was charged with the following:

  • Second-degree rape (felony)
  • Second-degree criminal sexual act (felony)
  • Forcible touching (misdemeanor)
  • Two counts endangering the welfare of a child (misdemeanor)

State Police conducted a two-month investigation into Ross, a prior level 2 sex offender, for having sexual contact with several minors. As a result of this investigation, Ross was arrested on the charges listed above.

Ross was arraigned in the Town of Cairo court and remanded to Greene County Jail on $25,000 cash bail / $50,000 secured bond pending a future court appearance.
