Early Thursday morning, in raids dubbed Operation Mop-Up, Kingston Police conducted raids on numerous city residences, arresting 40 suspects on dealing and possession charges. Seen here is one of the suspects, Gene Brodhead, being taken from his Bruyn Avenue home by a KPD Special Investigations Unit team lead by KPD Detective Eric Van Allen. Brodhead, 44, was charged with two counts of felony third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was on probation from a drug-dealing conviction stemming from March 2012’s Operation Clean Sweep drug raids.

I think the police are doing a fabulous job. At the same time, the damage being done to the black population of the United States is devastating… we see no reduction, no improvement and a huge and growing industry living off people hooked and trapped into the drug system. Read “The New Jim Crow”… it is a must read.
People cannot be productive in jail and putting more and more people in jail is a losing plan…
