Today, Wednesday, Sept. 4, was the first day of school. As they do every year, much of the the incoming senior class, dressed in school colors, massed bright and early at Simmons Plaza before making their way to the high school. A little later, parents dropped off the younger kids at the four Saugerties elementary schools, like Cahill Elementary in the village, shown here.
