
Fifteen-time Grammy-winner and serial collaborator Béla Fleck is one of the least predictable mavericks of modern Americana: a banjo-shredder who has broached virtually every imagination fusion and musical conflation, and quite a few unimaginable ones as well. His collaboration with fellow banjoist Abigail Washburn has been a lasting one, and a project that tends to keep Fleck grounded in the verities of bluegrass and folk, kind of.
