Accomplished veterans of the Caribbean styles, the members of Cuboricua arrived at their name by colliding “Cuba” and “Puerto Rico.” Similarly, their musical dialect collides elements of salsa, son, rumba, plena, merengue and more. Percussion-heavy but hardly lacking in melody and vocal enthusiasm, Cuboricua returns to the Falcon in Marlboro on Friday, February 10 at 7 p.m. Per usual at this shrine of jazz, blues and global roots music, there is no cover charge, but donation is enthusiastically encouraged.
The Falcon is located at 1348 Route 9W in Marlboro. For more information, visit www.liveatthefalcon.com. For more on Cuboricua, visit www.cuboricua.com.
