Santacon is up here, too: this suddenly newsworthy new holiday tradition that seems almost as divisive as the president-elect. Santacon takes over Poughkeepsie on Saturday, December 17. As far as we can tell, you dress like Santa and go bar-hopping, but the event’s organizers write, “Santacon is not a bar crawl, pub crawl or bar hop. Every time you call it that, a sugarplum fairy dies.” They proceed to say nothing of what it is, nor where the Santas should convene at 5 p.m. Follow the red suits, we guess.
