George Heidcamp has retained the position of president of the board of education, though he was met with some opposition. During last week’s organizational meeting, newly elected trustee Bob Thomann nominated trustee Theresa Bach-Tucker for president. When no second was voiced, Bach-Tucker declined the nomination and a split vote allowed Heidcamp to retain the presidency. Thomann cast the sole vote against Heidcamp. Tom Ham was unanimously reelected as vice president.
