Town of Plattekill Memorial Day Parade.  Line up at the Town Hall at noon, step off at 1pm, ending at Thomas Felten Park. Village of Rhinebeck. 12:30 p.m. Ceremony Dedication. Location: Doughboy Memorial. Hosted by: American Legion Montgomery Post #429. The names of the Rhinebeck Gulf War Veterans are listed on the plaque. This project was the final project of military historian, the late Alan Coon of Rhinebeck. Fleischmanns Memorial Day Street Fair 2018 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Main St., Fleischmanns. Annual Memorial Day Weekend Event features Music, kids Bounce House, vendors-crafts, antiques, books, plants and food vendors including BBQ.

Marlborough Memorial Day Parade. 1 p.m. Cluett-Shantz Park, 1801-1805 Rt 9W, Milton. Parade marches through hamlet of Milton, crosses Route 9W, and ends at the Cluett Schantz Memorial Park bandstand. Dignitary speakers will address the meaning of Memorial Day. Light refreshments will be served at conclusion. Info: 845-594-1711; [email protected].

Monday, May 28

Kingston:
Kingston Memorial Day Service and Parade.  Memorial Day service in front of City Hall, 420 Broadway, Kingston at 1pm. The parade will step off at 1:45pm on Andrews Street, next to Kingston High School, then proceed up Broadway and through the city’s Uptown business district before ending at Dietz Memorial Stadium, Kingston. Hosted by the City of Kingston and Kingston Veterans Association.

Olive:
Olive Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony.  In honor of the men and women who sacrificed their lives to defend the honor and principles of the United States. The parade will begin 9:30am at the West Shokan Post Office on state Route 28A and proceed to the Veterans Memorial in front of the Olive Town Hall building on Watson Hollow Road. A ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held under the pavilion at Davis Park, which is adjacent to the Town Hall. (845) 657-8118

Woodstock:
Woodstock American Legion Memorial Day Parade. Assembly will be at the Woodstock Playhouse parking grounds on State Route 212. Units participating in the parade should begin arriving at 11am. The parade will kick off at noon and proceed up Mill Hill Road to Rock City Road, stopping at the Woodstock Cemetery. After a brief ceremony, the parade will re-form down Rock City Road to Tinker Street, continuing through the village to its end on Neher Street. Parade participants are invited to the American Legion Post for refreshments after the parade. For information, call parade coordinator Kevin Verpent at 845-532-2775.

Wednesday, May 30

New Paltz:
New Paltz Memorial Day Parade and Service.  The parade kicks off at 6pm from the intersection of Main St and N. Manheim, proceeds down Main St., and ends by Peace Park and our Veterans Memorial with a memorial service. For more info contact New Paltz VFW 845-633-8494 or [email protected].

Saugerties:
Saugerties American Legion Post 72 will conduct a Memorial Day service on the traditional day, Wednesday, May 30 at 6 p.m. The Saugerties Community Band will play a few selections one half hour before the start of the service and throughout the program. Matthew Russell, commander of the recently rejuvenated VFW Post 5034, will be the guest speaker. The location is on the Post grounds, adjacent to Partition Street in the village. Following the service, the military museum will be open for guided tours. Refreshments will be served in the banquet hall.
