In case you were wondering, you can get a DWI on an ATV.
Police arrested Theodore J. Nelson, 25, early this morning and charged him with felony DWI, circumventing an interlock device, operating an ATV on the highway, unregistered ATV and operating without insurance.
The arrest followed a 1:05 a.m. traffic stop on Echo Hill Rd.
Nelson had a previous conviction for DWI, according to police, which is why the charge was felony and an interlock device had been required.
Nelson was arraigned in the Town of Saugerties Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

What’s with these guys on ATVS, boats, cars, motorcycles that they can’t stay away from the bottle for a few hours? If you hurt yourself, that’s one thing, but they often ruin other peoples’ lives. I have no sympathy, because they know they should not drink and drive.
Your a pathetic loser if you drive drunk period! If you can’t afford a cab then you can’t afford to drink! Idiots .
