You get the feeling that Donna the Buffalo – a band that has been splitting the difference among Americana, global groove and jam rock and singer/songwriter for well over 20 years – has developed a special relationship with the venues and audiences of the mid-Hudson Valley. You also get the feeling that these full-time residents of the tour bus have developed that same special relationship with just about every region of the US, so tireless their itinerary, so faithful their fanbase.
Still fronted by the two songwriting singers and players, Jeb Puryear (vocals, electric guitar) and multi-instrumentalist Tara Nevins (vocals, guitar, fiddle, accordion, washboard), and sporting a new crowdsourced tour bus, the American institution that is Donna the Buffalo rolls through the Towne Crier Café in Beacon on Friday, January 27 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30. For more information, visit www.townecrier.com. The Towne Crier Café is located at 379 Main Street in Beacon.
