Kellan and his father thanking firefighters
Kellan Ryan was injured in a lawn mower accident recently, losing three toes and sustaining other injuries to his foot. He was airlifted to Westchester Medical immediately after the accident. Ryan’s father, Anthony, was mowing the yard near the 4-year-old’s slide. Unaware that Kellan was nearby, he lifted the mower and the child’s foot went into the moving blades.
Ryan and his family wanted to thank the firefighters for assisting at the scene and arranging for the helicopter airlift. The family greeted the Asbury/Saxton fire companies at their monthly drill on Monday, Aug. 1.
