Color Rosanne Cash undaunted by her intimidating country lineage, the confluence of Carter and Cash (and she was married to Nick Lowe for a time: no slouch of a songwriter himself). Cash is a decorated songwriter with stamina. Her acclaimed 2009 record The List was Grammy-nominated. Her 2014 release The River & a Thread – written and recorded with her husband, the ace guitarist and producer John Leventhal (Shawn Colvin and many others) –represents a return to her roots.

Rosanne Cash and her band appear on Saturday, October 18 at the Bardavon in Poughkeepsie at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $74 for Golden Circle, $54 general admission and $49 for members and are available at the Bardavon box office at 35 Market Street in Poughkeepsie, (845) 473-2072; at the UPAC box office at 601 Broadway in Kingston, (845) 339-6088; and by TicketMaster by calling (800) 745-3000 or at www.ticketmaster.com. (Member benefits are not available through TicketMaster.)
