School Superintendent Seth Turner will receive a two-percent increase for merit following an evaluation by the Board of Education over and above his regular two-percent annual increase. He earned $164,487 in the most recent school year.
In thanking the board, Turner noted that he’d turned down this raise in each of the past four years.
The vote was 7-0, with trustees Krista Barringer and Damion Ferraro abstaining because as new board members, they did not take part in the superintendent evaluation.
Turner has been superintendent since August of 2009.
