Veteran town clerk Rosaria Peplow, a Democrat, is being challenged by Republican Sally Bellacicco. Both believe that one of the great challenges that the position of town clerk faces is one of record storage and ways of finding grants and funding to digitalize town records. Both are also big advocates of being accessible to the public and being able to respond to their needs and answer their questions, while still keeping up with the many tasks that they are charged with handling on a day-to-day basis.

The highway superintendent race is between Democratic incumbent Rich Klotz and Republican challenger Lenny Auchmoody. Both have years of experience managing a workforce, road construction and engineering, as well as snowplowing, excavating, drainage work and sticking to a budget. Klotz is hoping to save the town money with the new machine that it purchased that will allocate an exact amount of sand/salt mixture on the roads, rather than just spraying it at random. He believes that this will save a lot of money in terms of the amount of sand/salt that the road crews use, as well as helping in the spring when they clean the roads, as there would be much less to clean if they can reduce the salt and sand that they spray on the roads during wintertime.

Auchmoody believes that there could be better long-term road maintenance planning and scheduling. He also believes that public safety is a huge priority, and wants to meet with all of the schoolbus drivers to get their input on what they see as potential hazards or dangers on the roads as they drive schoolchildren to and from their homes.
