Halloween curfews
In response to residents’ complaints about groups of rural trick-or-treaters being dropped off at Rosendale housing complexes, wiping out their candy supplies and then engaging in vandalism at late hours, the Town of Rosendale will impose a curfew this Halloween. Youngsters under the age of 18 will not be allowed on the streets unaccompanied by a parent or adult guardian after 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.
The Village of New Paltz has also enacted a curfew on Halloween. Children under the age of 17 will not be allowed on the streets without a parent or adult guardian after 10 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Happy Halloween!
