Broads’ Regional Arm-Wrestling League competes at Water Street Market in New Paltz

For those of you looking for family-friendly evening entertainment for charity, check out this weekend’s Hudson Valley BRAWL! In the Broads’ Regional Arm-Wrestling League, arm-wrestlers take on a persona, including costumes and an entourage who collect money from the audience as “bets.” All of the money goes to the designated charity of the evening, no matter who wins.

The beneficiary of this weekend’s event is Girls, Inc., an organization that develops programs to encourage girls to take risks and master challenges: “Programs address math and science education, pregnancy and drug abuse prevention, media and economic literacy and violence prevention.” This BRAWL is family-friendly so bring the kids and bring your dollars!
