State senate hopeful George Amedore of Montgomery County will formally plight his troth at a special meeting of the Ulster County Republican executive committee on Thursday night. Amedore, a two-term assemblyman, seeks the GOP nomination in the infamous new 63rd district, which includes Kingston and seven towns in Ulster. Former Kingston mayor Jim Sottile had been scheduled to introduce Amedore at a Coleman Catholic High hall of fame dinner Saturday night, but the appearance was cancelled at the last minute.
